Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has given Wolves striker Andy Keogh the thumbs up. Following the forwards 2 goals in 2 practise games Keogh may find himself amongst the starting line up in the Italians first match in charge.
Keogh, 22, has scored in both training games during this week's stint in the Algarve.
And having seen the bulk of his squad at close quarters this week, Trapattoni has been impressed by the capabilities of the former Leeds and Scunthorpe forward.
He said
"Andy Keogh plays football. He is young but he plays football he knows what to do and that is very important.
"His intelligence is important. When the ball comes he understands immediately what to do. He is not an easy opponent."
