The French left-back has impressed in the last couple of years for Middlesbrough and has obviously impressed Brian Kerr.
'Que' has been in discussions with Kerr and has said in no uncertain terms that he wants to play for the Boys in Green.
"I have spoken to Brian Kerr about it and I want to play. It has been confirmed that my grandfather was born in the Republic which means I can play."
However he has already upset many Irish fans by claiming that he feels French and would only play for the Republic to receive the accolade of international football.
Ironically if he was to become an Irish international he could play, possibly even make his debut, against the French in the make-or-break match in September at Landsdowne Road.
