Domenech has no injury worries ahead of his selection, which is expected as early as today. Suspended Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira is also training with the squad, in preparation for Wednesday's Group 4 meeting with Cyprus.
Rumours have abounded in the French press that - apart from a possible resignation for Domenech should the Irish steal three points - former Manchester United goalkeeper Fabien Barthez could return between the sticks and skipper the side.
Lyon's Gregory Coupet is their other option in goal.
Apart from what is an inexperienced defence - with Manchester United's Mikael Silvestre the most experienced on 34 caps - Domenech could encounter a problem in midfield, sans Vieira.
Former Leeds United man Olivier Dacourt could partner the uncapped Alou Diarra of French side Lens in the engine room.
