Finnan may go home

Steve Finnan has recently decided to continue on for the Republic of Ireland team and will be ready for a return next season. His Liverpool future has been thrown into more doubt as Rafael Benitez has brought in yet another right back in Swiss international Phillip Degan yesterday.

Finnan lost his place mid-way through the last campaign and seemed to be used in bit part games rather than the top matches. Roy Hodgson has kept an eye on the former Fulham man who left the club 5 years ago for £3.5M. Finnan has one year remaining on his contract and would likely cost around £2 Million.
