The most unusual placing was Scotland who had 2 good wins against the Faroe Islands in a European qualifier and Austria in a friendly but it didn't prevent them falling nine places and out of the top 20. England remain unchanged in eighth and Ireland's Group D opponents Wales are the lowest ranked team from this region in 75th place.
Irelands other main Euro 2008 rivals Germany are up one to fourth while the Czech Republic remain in 10th Slovakia slip three places to 40th, Cyprus are down one to 81st and San Marino are unchanged in 195th.
