FAI Stay Tight Lipped

The FAI were staying quiet about who they were seeking help from in order to find Steve Stauntons successor. A 10-man body met to discuss what to do to find a new Irish manager.

The former head of the English FA David Davies is set to be chairman for the panel but the FAI wouldn't discuss anything with the media after a short statement this afternoon.

The Statement read

"The Football Association of Ireland's Board of Management met today to discuss the senior international team manager position.

"Several people with considerable football experience in the professional game will now be approached to assess their willingness and availability to participate in the recruitment process and make a recommendation to the Board of the Association."
