The FAI Board of Management meeting tonight (Tuesday 22nd) is thought to be significant according to FAI Chief Executive John Delaney. Don Givens one of 3 men the FAI have appointed to find a successor to Steve Staunton is to report to the commitee. It is 89 days since Staunton lost his job but the signs are that we may have the name of a new manager in place this week.
Delaney said
"We have a board meeting tomorrow and that will be a significant meeting in my opinion.
"Don is going to come and give a report on the subcommittee's workings to date. I met the three guys last week and I was hugely encouraged by what they've done to date.
"So I think this board meeting will be a significant one in terms of arriving at the new manager to manage the Irish team
