FAI Announce Denmark friendly

This will be the 13th meeting between the two sides, Ireland having last played them in a friendly in Dublin in March 2002, which the Irish won 3-0.

Ian Harte, Robbie Keane and Clinton Morrison were the scorers that day while captain for the game was current manager Stephen Staunton.

Speaking after the news of the fixture, Ireland manager Staunton said: 'The Denmark game is at the start of the new season so it is a good opportunity to get the lads together ahead of the remaining qualifiers.'

The game against Denmark is the only 2007 friendly confirmed for the senior squad. Talks are ongoing with a number of countries but nothing has yet been agreed.
