The big game between Cork and Derry saw both sides play out a draw. Shamrock Rovers won against 10 man Bray whilst not playing that well but move into 2nd spot. High flyers St Patricks Athletic recorded a close 1-0 win at home to Galway whiloe Bohemians won it in the dying minutes away to Sligo. Champions Drogheda won well at home against new boys Cobh Ramblers.
