David Connolly (Wigan Athletic) returns to the Squad for the games while Under 21 player, Kevin Doyle (Reading), is also included in the Senior Squad for the first time.

"I've watched Kevin at various levels, including for the Under-21s, and I've seen him this season for Reading," said Kerr. "He has maintained a high level of performance and I am obviously serious about bringing him in."

Andy Reid and Clinton Morrison, who miss the Cyprus game through suspension but will be added to the Squad for the game against Switzerland four days later on 12th October at Lansdowne Road.
