Sir Bobby Robson the Republic of Ireland International consultant has told of his new cancer scare "The last operation was a success but this time the doctors can't operate,". He has started a six-week course of chemotherapy. "The good news is that they are measuring the nodules in my lungs in millimetres rather than centimetres," Doctors found that the 74-year-old former England manager has small cancerous nodules in his lungs.
He missed a lot of the international teams games during the last period he was out having his last operation. This time he may have to call it a day for the sake of his health. Robson was first diagnosed with the disease 15 years ago when he was managing Barcelona. He played in the 1958 and 1962 World Cups for England. He had a torrid time as English manager from 1982 until he took a very good England team to the semi-finals of the 1990 World Cup.
