The FAI have received an invitation to participate in a tournament in Japan and also been invited to compete in the annual US Cup in America and another tournament in Australia in June 2004.
No decision will be made on which offer to accept until dates are finalised and checked to ensure that they fit in with the end of the English season.
Kerr confirmed, 'I would be happy to play in a tournament where we might have three games. And a chance to use a good few players over a period of time that would be a little less pressured in terms of results.'
Those of you who are wondering what the Republic boss will be doing over the next few weeks, besides fending off 'Kerr to go' questions - well he'll be sorting out our friendly schedule from next spring up until the start of the 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign, which starts in September 2004.
The next big date for Republic fans to remember is December 5th when the draw for the 2006 World Cup qualifying groups for Europe takes place. The Republic look likely to be second seeds for the event.
Possible friendly opponents next year include Euro 2004 hosts Portugal, and the Czech Republic a likely destination next month, as Kerr had bartered with the eastern Europeans that if his side hadn't qualified from Group 10, the two sides would match up in November.
