Reports today suggest both Newcastle United and Sunderland are looking at Aiden McGeady in a summer transfer. McGeady has said he hopes one day to play in Europe but has stated recently he feels he has more to learn in Glasgow.
McGeady was involved in an incident where he was attacked by a rival clubs fan in a niteclub and this may hasten his departure.
If he were to be sold Celtic would be looking for upwards of £10M for a player they have nutured as a boy.
He has won the SFA footballer and Young player of the year awards in an exciting season that has seen his displays become more consistent. It may be time for him to move on although its possible he'll be a Celtic player next season
