Mahon scores first goal for Ipswich

On loan from Blackburn, Mahon hit a 25-yard strike just before the half-time whistle. He was earlier involved as his free-kick was nearly netted by Town defender George Santos, heading just wide of Bradford's left post.

Three minutes before the break Mahon struck with a delightful shot past City keeper Beresford. The Irishman also had a 57th minute free kick tipped over by the Bradford stopper.
