Richard Dunne is set to leave Manchester City this summer with Sunderland rumoured to be top of the queue. Dunne was voted club player of the season 3 times in a row, but lost out this season to Stephen Ireland. Dunne who has been solid in an Irish shirt made a catalogue of mistakes for City this season and was sent off on a number of occasions.
Steve Bruce has been eyeing up Dunne since he took over the reigns at Sunderland and knows he needs a solid defence for the Premier League next season. Stoke City and Spurs have shown an interest in the 29 year old centre back but it is felt Sunderland have the momentum in catching their man.
